⚠️ Important: Never travel to Stain in a capsule (pod) or a rookie corvette.
Nullsec is full of warp disruption bubbles. Pods and corvettes are not immune and will eventually get you killed.
Always use a Shuttle. Shuttles are immune to warp disruption bubbles and are by far the safest way to travel.
if you want to make LGK your home station anyway, on a specially made dedicated alt for these burners for example or
if you have not used the function of setting your home station to a remote station within the last year, just do that.
if you did use this option already then you need to do it the old skool way of traveling to that station to set your clone! Follow the steps below!
If possible, make the trip during the early morning hours (EVE server time) when the online population is at its lowest. Fewer players generally means fewer gate camps and a much safer journey.
Are you in a Shuttle?
Your rookie Corvette is NOT a Shuttle.
Pods are NOT bubble immune.
Only continue if you are actually flying a Shuttle.
Before heading into Stain:
This way, if you get podded during your travels, you’ll wake up nearby (Keberz) instead of across New Eden.
Before undocking:
Seriously… are you in a Shuttle?
Set your destination to LGK-VP V - Moon 3 - True Power Assembly Plant. (type it in the search bar in the top left of your screen - right click the correct station, set destination)
This is where the dangerous part begins.
For every single system on the route:
Assume there is a smartbomb camp waiting on the outbound gate.
Never autopilot.
Never blindly warp gate-to-gate if other pilots are present.
For each system:
If you are alone in Local
If anyone else is in Local
Press F9.
Locate the outbound gate (it will be highlighted).
Imagine a straight line between:
This is the path smartbombers expect you to take.
Find a celestial or anomaly that is well away from that line.
Your goal is to create a triangle rather than flying directly gate-to-gate.
Example:
Gate A
\
\
Planet
\
\
Out Gate
Warp:
Repeat this process in every system until you arrive in LGK.
Many pilots eventually set their Home Station in LGK as well.
Why?
Sooner or later you’ll lose a ship in Stain, and chances are you’ll also get podded. If that happens while everyone else is still running Burner Missions, respawning nearby lets you get back into the action much faster.
A handy trick for regular Burner Mission runners:
On Sunday evening:
This saves a long trip each week while still letting you quickly return home afterward.
⚠️ word of wisdom on death cloning: ⚠️ CHECK YOUR IMPLANTS! ⚠️
if there is red text under the self-destruct button in the character sheet, engage READING COMPREHENSION for a second.
you dont want to self-desruct with potentially quite expensive implants in your current clone.
